At just 23, Kord Phillips of Waskatenau, AB, is already making a significant impact in the club calf industry, extending Canadian breeding talent to international audiences. His dedication was highlighted when a steer he bred, Tag 1929, achieved an impressive sixth overall finish at the highly competitive 2025 Oklahoma Youth Expo (OYE). This success stems from Kord's passion and his show-based venture, "The Pursuit Sale," where he markets prospects to junior showmen. Beyond show ring victories and innovative breeding, including the introduction of his new clubby sire "Vanilla Gorilla," Kord is committed to maternal quality and, crucially, to mentoring young enthusiasts.
